Property
Client arranged an appointment to see us. It was during their first appointment it became apparent that the lender is in fact taking possession of their house where they lived for the past 22 years. The Notice of Eviction was served by the Bailiffs.

We advised our client to negotiate the repayment that was turned down by the lender at the last minute. We also advised our client to make an emergency application to set aside the Notice of Eviction or else the Bailiffs will take the possession of the property and will leave them homeless.

On Friday, late evening, we were instructed by our client to prepare and attend for the hearing. We had two consecutive meetings with our client. On the same day, we submitted Notice of Acting, Notice of Funding and Schedule of Costs. We accurately obtained the information that was required and advised our client what was expected on the day of the hearing. We also advised our client about the strength and weakness of their case. We have also visited the property in question twice. We prepared our client’s witness statement and served all the parties concerned.

We have also contacted the Bailiffs before and after the hearing to keep them updated about the progress of the case. We have managed to obtain 28 days suspended possession order. Client was very pleased with the outcome.

Please see below our client’s comments:

“Javed was absolutely excellent and such a massive help.”
